Rockin in 2010

Look who we have coming for Oldsmar Days and Freedom Fest

We are planning to make 2010 a rockin' good year at the Top Of The Bay.  Coming off a great Oktoberfest we have hit the ground running to bring you the tops in entertainment for Oldsmar Days and Freedom Fest.  In addition to the unbeatable venues of R.E. Olds Park and State Street, our outstanding diversity of vendors, great car and bike shows, and a super carnival we are stocking our stages with the best talent in the Bay area and beyond.  Stayed tuned for more but here's what we have so far:

Oldsmar Days
Friday March 26       Charlie O and the Houserockers brings the sounds of the Mississippi Delta to town
Satuday March 27    The Charlie Morris Band serves up original blues, cookin’ with an old-school recipe: Chicago barbecue, Louisiana spice, Tennessee twang and Florida gator tail. Come have some!
Slickside and Billy Sandlin adds an eclectic mix of Motown, Southern Rock and classics

Galloway-Kelliher offers some great southern and cowboy rock

Commander Cody storms in to town with some real classic rock.  Check out the Ole Commander's Rocket 88 release below.
Sunday March 28
The Steve Arvey Horn Band give us some Windy City sounds

Stormbringer closes out our rockingest Oldsmar Days ever!

Freedom Fest          We're just starting on this one but we are excited to tell we have our feature act Greg Billings
Friday May 28          Stormbringer gets Freedom Fest into high gear from the get-go
Saturday May 29      Listen to the
Greg Billings Band light up State Street

Don't worry we'll have ten great bands in the weekend lineup and we promise to land some great local favorites including the rockabilly sounds of the  Dive Bar Stalkers

Here are some interesting facts about our events.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal in it’s annual prestigious Book of Lists rates the top 25 regional festivals.

Did you know that:

Oktoberfest would rank 20th on that list with a 2009 attendance of 22,000 guests?  Trust us the TBBJ now knows that.
Oldsmar Days and FreedomFest would slightly trail the 25th entry (14,000 guests) with attendance in the 12-13,000 range?
Only three other chambers are on the list as event organizers and one of those events is Guavaween?

·     The Upper Tampa Regional Chamber is the only regional chamber with multiple events in this attendance range?

·      Four of the current top 25 events are bike and auto related and Oldsmar Days and FreedomFest are centered around  classic cars and bikes?

·      Oktoberfest 2008 (18,000 attendance) was estimated to generate $432,000 in economic activity by Research Data Services, Inc?

·      Based on that estimate that our three events generate over $1.15 million in local economic activity?

Arguably, this chamber and city have three of the top thirty events in the Tampa Bay Region?

We do events right!  Can you afford not to be part of it?
